Oregon has seen a significant increase in HIV, hepatitis C, and syphilis infections among people who inject drugs in recent years. Join the Oregon AETC for an upcoming forum on how to best serve people who inject drugs (PWID) in a health care setting.
The forum will include the following objectives:
Assess the current data on drug use in Oregon and identify significant barriers to accessing care, especially in rural communities
Provide tools to better serve patients who inject drugs and improve health outcomes
Recognize opportunities for collaboration and partnership in order to support patient-centered care
This training is intended for rural healthcare professionals and staff serving PWID, particularly those in emergency, urgent care, and primary care clinical settings.
All participants will be eligible for free CME credit.
