People Who Inject Drugs (PWIDs) often delay seeking health care and underuse healthcare services overall, despite bearing a greater burden of infections from HIV and Hepatitis C. Engaging with primary care is an opportunity for PWIDs to reduce their risk of illness and death, as well as begin a pathway to recovery from substance use disorder.
Primary care clinicians and other health professionals are welcome to attend this free training event, which will improve the ability of attendees to:
•Engage and build rapport with PWIDs
•Treat Opioid Use Disorder in primary care
•Discuss cases
Location: Adapt, 621 West Madrone, Roseburg, Room #132
Lunch will be provided for all attendees who register.
