Melissa D. Murphy, MD first began treating HIV+ patients in 1997, became the Medical Director of the OR AETC in 2010. Dr. Murphy is the HIV Lead Clinician for the Portland VA Medical Center and Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20 (which includes WA, OR, ID and AK). She has participated in HIV clinical research trials for new antiretroviral medications and has also done research in antiretroviral resistance.
